Built in 1669, the beautiful Engadine House was originally the Catholic parish seat and one of the most magnificent houses in the village. In this function, the house experienced a special status in early times, which is also evident from the fact that the house is detached and has a turnaround.
Thanks to the constant renovation work in recent years, the house has always presented itself in its best condition in its buildings.
The house was completely renovated in 2015 and typologically correct. Today, the house is state-of-the-art. All sanitary and electrical pipes have been re-laid and a new central wood pellet heating system has been installed.
The architect has succeeded, in close cooperation with the authorities, the preservation of monuments and the new owners, in renovating an extraordinary architectural masterpiece so that all the old existing elements can be revived and modernity melted together with the old. The materials used in the interior design were masterfully implemented by local craftsmen in the expansion. The room program could be created as it intended the original house use again. The stables and the cuort have been converted by the new owners into rooms whose vaults create an extraordinary atmosphere in their original radiance. The haystack has been converted into a light-flooded studio, which as a room can also fulfill many other functions, such as work, music room or other. The large windows with open views give a breathtaking sense of space.
