Situation

The picturesque village of La Punt Chamues-ch with its 720 inhabitants is located 1700 m above sea level, at the foot of the Albula Pass, directly on the Inn and is easily accessible by train and car. The Engadin peasant and patrician houses dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries give the village a special charm.

Public transport

La Punt is located on the cantonal road through the Engadine. From the west, it can also be reached via the Albula Pass in summer (winter closure approx. November-June). Julier, Maloja and Bernina Pass are usually open even in winter. In La Punt is the station of the Rhaetian Railway. The trains usually run every hour in every direction. Travel time to St. Moritz is about 30 minutes, to Chur about 2 to 2.5 hours, to Zurich about 3 hours. The lines 6 (direction Samedan and St. Moritz) and 7 (direction Zernez) of Engadin Bus serve several stops in La Punt and Chamues-ch. Travel time to St. Moritz about 30 minutes.
